Our Services
Home Visits
A home visit typically lasts 45-90 minutes, depending on how breastfeeding is going. During a home visit, a thorough, pertinent health history is taken and both mom and baby/babies are examined. A scale is used to weigh the baby and determine how much milk is being transferred at the breast. After a feeding is observed, a customized plan is developed to ensure that both mom and baby are getting what they need to help them reach their breastfeeding goals.
Follow-Up
Follow-up is initially provided by phone 48-72 hours after your home visit. Of course, if you have questions or concerns before then, please reach out! If further hands on assistance or reassessment of a feed is needed, another in-home visit will be scheduled. A discount on pricing is provided for follow-up home visits.
Where we go
Jamie serves most of Chicago and the following suburbs based on availability: Park Ridge, Norridge, Lincolnwood, Skokie, and Oak Park. If you are in need of assistance and are not located in one of those areas, please reach out. Jamie may be able to come see you depending on availability.
Investment
The fee for the initial home visit is $200. This is paid at the time of service via Check or Cash. Jamie is not contracted with any insurance carriers but a superbill will be issued with appropriate coding for you to submit to your insurance company. If you have BCBS PPO, Anthem, United or Cigna PPO, you may be able to get your visit covered in full. Please fill out this form with The Lactation Network to find out.
